‘Unfinished Business’: Chris Bumstead Announces New Partnership With Gymshark

Chris Bumstead has kept himself busy in his retirement.
Since the owner of the title of Classic Physique Mr. Olympia for the six years he called his career in 2024, he continued to capture more milestones. He married his longtime partner, Courtney; adopted a second child, Blake Jane; and has remained consistently active on social media, where he shares his performance-oriented fitness routines, as well as inspirational messages to his followers.
But it doesn’t end there.
For the past few months, the Canadian bodybuilding legend has been secretly working on a new project that’s guaranteed to blow up the fitness scene: He’s launched his first official clothing line with Gymshark, set to launch on May 7, 2026 at 2 pm ET (11 am PT. / 8pm CEST / 7pm BST).
The limited-edition capsule collection, called “Unfinished: Gymshark X Cbum,” presents new fashion from Bumstead himself, reflecting not only his unique outlook on life but also his continued commitment to fitness after retirement.
And now you get to wear it too!
“I called this collection ‘Unfinished’ because I realized that there really isn’t a finish line to this,” Bumstead began. “The work in the gym, the work for us, the work in life—it goes on. Not because we’re not perfect, but because growth and satisfaction aren’t just the results of the pursuit … it’s actually the goal.”
He also compared this “unfinished” idea to the ancient Greek myth of Sisyphus, who was sentenced to an afterlife punishment, which required him to push a rock up a hill—only to have it slide back and forth after each attempt. Like Sisyphus, however, Bumstead eventually found new joy and purpose in the relentless effort required to overcome his difficult nature.
Ever since then he has believed that the finish line is not the goal—it’s the work you’re doing that matters most.

Setting the Finished Touch to ‘Not Done’
Previously, Bumstead joined Gymshark as an athlete in 2018, but parted ways with the company after four years to focus on creating his own products and apparel. He returned to Gymshark as an athlete and shareholder in 2024.
A month after announcing his return to Gymshark, he released a limited edition “Gymthark” t-shirt, which sold out almost immediately.
If you didn’t get a chance to get your hands on his original merchandise, rest assured—Bumstead’s new collection will include an assortment of 10 versatile pieces, from a washed hoodie, a ribbed tank, a raglan tee, a sleeveless boxy tee, and a graphic tee, to a workwear jacket, lightweight pants, a straight hockey short, a true fashion hockey, true fashion hockey.

Defined by vintage-inspired designs and understated branding, each garment was designed to mimic the beauty of real bodybuilding using premium, supersoft materials. Better yet, each piece effortlessly translates from intense workouts to much-needed rest days (and everywhere in between).
In addition to the Unfinished collection, you can also shop Bumstead’s top picks at Gymshark, like Straight Power Pants$52; Power Zip Up Hoodie$64; or i Power Backpack$70.
Finally, the debut of Chris Bumstead’s new collection wouldn’t be possible without a few words of encouragement from his fans.
“I hope you like the drop,” said Bumstead. “Now, go get some work done. And don’t be boring.”
